Physician here, and I'm sharing this thread with my colleagues. A few points:
The visceral fat reduction from 3.8 to 1.1 lbs is arguably more important than the total weight loss from a health outcomes perspective. Visceral fat is the metabolically dangerous fat — it's associated with insulin resistance, cardiovascular disease, and systemic inflammation. A 71% reduction likely transformed your metabolic risk profile.
Also want to highlight something subtle in your data: your bone mineral content stayed stable (8.0-8.1 lbs across all scans). One concern with rapid weight loss is bone density reduction. Your stability here is reassuring and may be partly attributable to the weight-bearing exercise.
What do your blood panels show? I'd love to see this paired with metabolic markers.

Great catch on the bone density — my technician commented on the same thing. Here are the paired labs:
| Marker | Baseline | 6 months | 12 months |
|--------|----------|----------|-----------|
| A1C | 6.2% | 5.6% | 5.1% |
| Fasting glucose | 118 | 96 | 88 |
| Triglycerides | 242 | 148 | 112 |
| HDL | 34 | 41 | 52 |
| LDL | 158 | 132 | 118 |
| CRP | 4.8 | 2.1 | 0.8 |
| ALT | 52 | 38 | 24 |
| Testosterone | 318 | 412 | 498 |
The CRP drop from 4.8 to 0.8 is the one that excited my doctor most — systemic inflammation just plummeted. And the testosterone increase (without supplementation) is likely from the fat loss reducing aromatase activity.
I'll do another DEXA at month 15. Planning to continue lifting and see if I can get body fat under 22%.

I just booked my first DEXA scan after reading this thread. I'm at month 2 of tirzepatide and starting strength training this week. I want to build this same kind of dataset for myself.
dave_SLC, you've done something really special here. This isn't just personal tracking — this is the kind of real-world data that helps the entire community understand what's actually happening in our bodies beyond what the scale says. Thank you for being so thorough and transparent.
