So the question, as narrowly as I can put it: which of the variables in a cross-border order actually determine the outcome, and which are superstition.
I have searched first, so if this is covered somewhere point me at it and I will read it.

Mine went the same way, slower. I had assumed I was the exception until I read this.
Clinical perspective, offered as context rather than as advice. The mechanism and the magnitude are separate questions. Agreeing that something happens says nothing about whether it happens enough to act on.
If somebody has the primary source to hand I would rather cite it than paraphrase it.
